Hi,
I am trying to create a maual entry for an enpoint that is outside of our network and not registered with our Polycom Gatekeeper. The far side EndPoint is a Cisco TP device and uses SIP. The near side is a Polycom HDX 8000 and is set to use both H.323 or SIP. Since the far side device is not registered with the gatekeeper, I created a manual entry for the SIP address under HDX 8000 Favorites. When I go to dial the saved entry, I get the following error message.
Your call could not be completed because the call was routed through an intermediate network that does not service the far site. Contact your network administrator for assistance.
The twist in the scenario is that when I press "Place a call" on Polycom HDX 8000 and enter in the same address, the call goes through with out a problem. The issue definetly seems to be on our side as one way of dialing works and the other doesn't.
I am running Firmware Release 3.1.8.49137 on HDX 8000. Not sure what far side is running.
Anyone ever see this issue before?
Thanks for everyone's help in advance.
